My Secret to Prevent Food from Sticking to the Lodge Cast Iron Grill
Heat the grill griddle on medium heat until drips of water beads on the grill.
Coat the bottom of the ridges with coarse kosher salt. where the grease, oil and juices will collect
Using a basting brush or folded paper towel, brush the top of the ridges with vegetable oil or olive oil. The oil keeps food from sticking to the ridges, and the salt absorbs the fat and grease. Clean up really easy with minimal scrubbing..
Is it Oven Safe?
The Pre-Seasoned cast iron grill can go from the stove top where you can brown or sear the outside of your meat, and straight into an oven up to 600° Fahrenheit. This allows you to cook without changing pans to cook the meat all the way through.
