My wife and I have started following The Paleo Diet. If you are not sure what it is, this is really not a diet like Atkins or The Dukan Diet, where your goal is to cut fat or calories to lose weight, The Paleo Diet is a healthy way of eating the way our prehistoric ancestors did two million years ago during the Paleolithic period.
The paleo diet eliminates all grains, dairy, sugar, processed foods and legumes, since these are foods that were not yet available to early humans of the Peleolithic period; hence the name The Paleo Diet.
The Paleo Diet focuses primarily on what foods were available in their area, such as fruits, vegetables, wild caught fish, free range chicken, and grass fed beef.
Instead of processed grain flour, which was introduced about 10,000 years ago with the introduction of agriculture, Paleo recipes use almond flour, since this type of flour works as a great substitute for wheat and is not processed, and doesn’t pose the health risks that wheat does on the body.
There are 6 key ingredients to any Paleo recipe: almond flour, coconut flour, eggs, coconut oil, baking soda, and agave or honey.
Other ingredients are added to make your recipe savory or sweet, and that’s really about it. This article includes easy Paleo Recipes I have made and liked that any stay at home dad can make for the kids or family, that are easy to make, nutritious and delicious.

Paleo Katchup. The only change I made here was I added curry instead of All-Spice. Our kids loved it and couldn’t tell the difference between store bought katchup that contains high fructose corn syrup and flavors…yuck!
